City man arrested on multiple charges
YOUNGSTOWN — The U.S. Marshals Service Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Randy T. Reese, 37, Monday morning on charges stemming from a human trafficking investigation.
Reese was being investigated by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force for offenses allegedly taking place over multiple years, according to a U.S. Marshals Service news release.
A warrant was issued Friday for Reese’s arrest, and the task force immediately began looking for him. In addition to the new charges, Reese was also out on bond in another case. Reese posted bond for that case in February.
One count of felonious assault and one count of strangulation were bound over from Youngstown Municipal Court to Mahoning County Common Pleas Court, according to Youngstown Municipal Court records.
Task force members located Reese at a home in the 4100 block of Southern Boulevard in Youngstown. Reese was arrested without incident and transported to the Mahoning County jail.
U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated that “A case like this shows the incredibly dedicated work by members of the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force and the quick work by our task force. Law enforcement in Northern Ohio will do everything they can to work together to bring suspects like this to justice.”
