Police search for shooting victim on the East Side
YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown police were sent to Lansdowne Boulevard and Stewart Avenue on the East Side at 11:36 p.m. Friday for a shooting, but they never found a shooting victim.
While looking for a crime scene at Lansdowne and Stewart, officers were advised the victim was headed to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Officers never found a crime scene but were later advised to go to East High Avenue on the East Side.
They found what appeared to be a crime scene on East High Avenue with blood, hair-care products and a spent bullet casing, the report states.
A witness told them he or she was at a home on East High Avenue where someone was getting their hair done with two other females and everyone started to argue and everyone had to leave.
The person said he or she heard more arguing outside and heard a single gunshot. The witness could not give officers more information about the people possibly involved in the altercation but thinks it was three females.
Photos were taken of the scene, and the bullet shell casing was taken into evidence, the report states. The report does not mention anyone being injured.
