Martha F. Allison 1926-2024

WARREN — Martha F. Allison, 98, passed away peacefully, Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024, at Clearview Lantern Suites Assisted Living.

Martha was born June 28, 1926, in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert and Cora Smith Arrow.

During World War II, Martha worked as a fuse assembler for hand grenades. She later worked as a sales clerk at Sears and as a line worker at Packard Electric, retiring in 1988.

She enjoyed knitting and quilting, and loved to travel.

She was a charter member of Champion Baptist Church in Warren.

Her husband, Charles Wayne Allison, whom she married Aug. 10, 1956, passed away March 18, 2019.

Martha will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her son, Thomas (Lynn) Allison of Warren; grandchildren, Staci (Matt) Dombrowski of Mentor and Jared (Alejandra) Allison of Great Falls, Montana; stepgrandchildren, Kimberly (Jack) Kline of Hubbard and William Matyas of Champion; and seven great-grandchildren, Carson, Milania, Aviana, Adeline, Jack, Aleksander and Maddox.

She also leaves her brother, Robert (Chris) Arrow of Indiana, Pa.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and by her sister, Betty Scherder.

Private services, per her request, were held at Hillside Cemetery in West Farmington.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Champion Baptist Church, 556 Center St. NW, Warren, OH 44481.
