The sheriff’s office in Mahoning County is getting $104,269, while the office in Trumbull County is getting $90,668 from the Ohio Drug Law Enforcement Fund to support drug task forces.

The task forces focus on issues like drug trafficking, pharmaceutical diversion and other organized crime activities associated with the drug trade, according to a Friday announcement from Gov. Mike DeWine.

The local offices were among 42 law enforcement agencies awarded $3 million to enforce the state’s drug laws and combat illegal drug activity.
