Warren man killed in crash in Elkrun
ELKRUN TOWNSHIP — A Warren man was killed in a one-vehicle rollover crash early Monday in Columbiana County.
Arthur D. Stroud, 45, of Warren, was pronounced dead when officers arrived at the scene, according to a news release from the Lisbon post of the Ohio State Highway Partrol.
Stroud was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the 12:30 a.m. crash.
The passenger in Stroud’s Jeep Wrangler, Sage Stroud, 19, also of Warren, was transported by West Point EMS to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Sage suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash, and was wearing a seatbelt, the patrol report states.
Stroud was driving south on state Route 11 when he drove off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail, overcorrected and traveled across both lanes of Route 11.
The Jeep traveled through the median, struck a ditch, overturned and ejected the driver, the release states.
The crash remains under investigation.
