$80,000 burglary reported in Boardman

BOARDMAN — Police are investigating a home burglary in which some unique and expensive items were stolen.

Officers responded to a house on Sugar Creek Drive about 10:45 p.m. Friday, according to a Boardman police report, after the residents arrived home to find more than $80,000 worth of jewelry, cash and other items missing. The report states police found that the screen had been removed from a kitchen window at the back of the house.

The residents told police they were missing — among other items — a Rolex watch valued at $30,000, a gold bar necklace valued at $25,000, a diamond necklace valued at $10,000, $8,000 in cash, and a golden dragon statue valued at $10,000, as well as several Hermes and Louis Vuitton bags of unknown value.
