WHAT: Board of Education meeting April 15

PRESENT: Amanda O’Neill, Donald Newell, Anna Martin, Josh Barr, William Cummings and Superintendent Raymond Soloman

The board:

* Approved a motion to accept donations from Tony Carsone and Family, Tony Guarnieri, the Hubbard Jr. Garden Club and an anonymous donation. Tony Carsone and Family donated $300 to the Hubbard High School art department and $300 to the Hubbard High School Future Educators of America. Guarnieri donated $200 to the Hubbard High School Woodshop. The Hubbard Jr. Garden Club donated $200 to the school’s food pantry and the anonymous donation was for $50, which went to the food service department.

Approved hiring Michael Holowatuk as a substitute custodian for the remainder of the 2023-24 school year.

Approved switching compliance officer from Tracie Liptak to Danielle Leigh for the 2023-24 school year.

Accepted the resignation of middle school teacher Hunter Guilliams, effective at the end of the 2023-24 school year.

Accepted the resignation of middle school teacher Adam Davidson, effective at the end of the 2023-24 school year.

Approved Transportation Supervisor Mona Jones for FMLA leave.

Approved Donald Stanislaw as the acting transportation supervisor effective April 15, on an as needed basis.

Approved the Hubbard High School Senior Class of 2024 field trip to Cedar Point on Friday, May 17.

Approved Michele DeCola as a Hubbard Middle School home instruction tutor for five hours per week, starting March 25.

Approved Tracy Hoover as a Hubbard Middle School home instruction tutor, five hours per week, starting March 27.

Approved the hiring of Mara Vargo as a lifeguard at the Hubbard Community Pool for $10.45 per hour effective March 21.
