Digital Inclusion Week provides computer education classes, workshops

YOUNGSTOWN — The Oak Hill Collaborative is commemorating Digital Inclusion Week 2022, which begins Monday, with a series of computer education classes and workshops at the Oak Hill Collaborative, 507 Oak Hill.

l Sunday — “Raspberry Pi Pico — Robotics on a Tiny Scale,” will be presented by Oak Hill Collaborative Director of IT Anthony Hake. It will be hosted as a livestream on the Oak Hill Collaborative Facebook Page at 4 p.m.

l Monday — “Microsoft Word, A Resume Building Workshop” will be presented by members of the Oak Hill Collaborative staff. It will be hosted in person in the Oak Hill Collaborative Digital Learning Center at 507 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, at 4 p.m. This is a free workshop to help prepare for the Youngstown Works hiring event at Stambaugh Auditorium on Tuesday.

l Tuesday — “What Makes a Smart City So Smart?” will be presented by Steve Kristan, Digital Equity and Broadband Consultant for Oak Hill Collaborative and Eastgate Regional Council of Governments. It will be hosted in person at the Oak Hill Collaborative at 3 p.m.

l Wednesday — “Arduino Sensor Management,” a robotics workshop presented by Cameron Hughes, computer scientist from CTEST Labs, will be hosted live and virtually as a livestream on the Oak Hill Collaborative Facebook Page at 6 p.m.

l Thursday — “Security, Speedrunning, and Arbitrary Code Execution,” a cybersecurity presentation by Wes Stanton, Amazon security consultant, will be hosted in person at the Oak Hill Collaborative and virtually as a livestream on the Oak Hill Collaborative Facebook page, at 3 p.m.

l Friday — “Digital Avatar Technology: Live2D and Vtubers,” a streaming and multimedia presentation by Kaneko Himari (stage name), a musician from the band Brimtone. It will be hosted in person and virtually as a livestream on the Oak Hill Facebook page, at 6 p.m.
