WHAT: City council meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Michael Patrick, Richard Bayus, Dallas Bigley, Lori Greenwood, James Baluck, Ronald Carcelli, Robert Burnside and Megan Pingley

ABSENT: Mayor Catherine Cercone-Miller

Council:

• Passed an ordinance amending the city’s codified ordinances to create Chapter 1501 Ohio Fire Code;

• Passed an ordinance authorizing and directing the city to enter into an agreement with Buckeye Energy Brokers Inc. for aggregation consulting services and any other required services related to natural gas utility deregulation;

• Passed an ordinance authorizing Mayor Catherine Cercone Miller to enter into a contract with Constellation New Energy LLC, gas division, as the natural gas supplier for residential and small commercial members of the city’s natural gas aggregation program;

• Passed an ordinance granting and establishing the salary for the clerk of council at $38,814, effective Jan. 1. Council sets the salary at the end of each year. This is the same amount as last year, according to the mayor.
