Mayors: No new cases of COVID-19, but life will change in Valley

YOUNGSTOWN — Mayors from Mahoning and Trumbull counties said this morning that life is going to dramatically change because of COVID-19.

That includes restrictions on going into city halls, courts and those seeking face-to-face meetings with staff.

Also, there are significant changes coming to Mercy Health facilities, including turning some of its buildings and urgent care locations into places that specialize in respiratory care, said Dr. James Kravec, its executive vice president and chief clinical officer.

Those specific changes will be announced Monday, he said.

Also, there are no other confirmed cases of people with the virus in Mahoning and Trumbull, Kovec said.

A complete story from the meeting of the mayors this morning will be published in Saturday’s newspaper.
