YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Police Department has charged two 16-year-old boys in the death of Landon Lockhart, 14, whose body was found Jan. 13 in a wooded area off of North Truesdale Avenue on the East Side.

The names of the boys were not released by the Youngstown Police Department. The boys’ cases were filed in Mahoning County Juvenile Court.

Both are charged with aggravated murder, a gun specification and other delinquent-related offenses, according to a news release from the Youngstown Police Department.

Lockhart of Parkwood Avenue on the South Side, had gone missing in Nov. 21, 2021, and his body was found a little less than two months later.
