There were four COVID-19 deaths reported in the Mahoning Valley today — three in Mahoning County and one in Columbiana County.

Overall, there have been 296 COVID-19 deaths in Valley — 191 in Mahoning, 51 in Trumbull and 54 in Columbiana counties.

There have been 2,339 COVID-19 deaths in the state as of today, up from 2,299 Wednesday, according to the Ohio Department of Health. There have been 37,282 confirmed cases of the virus in Ohio as of today, up from 36,792 Wednesday.

There have been 1,466 confirmed cases in Mahoning County as of today, up from 1,463 Wednesday; 594 confirmed cases in Trumbull County as of today, up from 585 Wednesday; and 893 confirmed cases in Columbiana County, up from 889 a day earlier.

Statewide, 6,312 people have been hospitalized as of today because of the virus, up from 6,251 Wednesday. Of those, 1,623 people in intensive-care units today, up from 1,604 Wednesday.
