Daily virus cases dip to lowest since pandemic’s start
Not since the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic has the state registered as few new daily cases as it did Monday. The Ohio Department of Health reported 178 new cases Monday. That’s the fewest cases reported since late March 2020, shortly after the pandemic started. Also, only 2,813 Ohioans started the vaccination process between 6 a.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday, the least amount since 2,401 on Jan. 3, according to ODH statistics.
