The slow, steady drop of COVID-19 cases at area nursing homes, assisted-living facilities and prisons continued this week, even reaching zeroes at all three area prisons. Area prisons reported four cases last week. YOUNGSTOWN — The city is giving five more businesses money to help them recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. The board of control on Thursday approved three $10,000 grants as well as a $6,000 grant and a $3,600 one. That brings the number of businesses to 15 that have benefited from the city grants. The city’s COVID-19 business stabilization program is designed to help small businesses create and retain jobs in eligible low-income census tracts.
