CIVIL WAR TALK: The Canfield Historical Society will look at one soldier’s Civil War experience in “Jacob Shenkel, an Ohioan at Gettysburg” at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Canfield Library’s large meeting room. Timothy R. Brookes will make the presentation. The talk is free. Shenkel served with the 62nd Pennsylvania Infantry and kept a detailed diary of his experiences during the Battle of Gettysburg.
