ITALIAN FEST: The Greater Youngstown Italian Fest will take place Friday to Sunday in downtown Youngstown. The festival runs 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Sunday, and 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5, with children under 12 free. There will be food vendors, nightly entertainment, little king and queen pageants, a morra tournament, Italian Fest Man and Woman of the Year and pasta eating contest. Opening ceremonies are at 6 p.m. Friday.
AFTERNOON AT THE MUSEUM: The Springfield Township Historical Society Museum, 14188 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, Petersburg, continues its "Afternoon at the Museum" speaker series at 2 p.m. Sunday with Gary Williams, presenting "Revolutionary!" an unlikely story of how a collection of colonies gained their independence.
