‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ opens

ACTS Performing Arts Center will stage the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” for an eight-performance run starting Saturday. The Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice rock opera reimagines the final days of Jesus Christ — told through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. Blending rock anthems with biblical themes, the production is set in the 1980s, and it explores humanity, betrayal and faith through a contemporary lens. ‘Shark Is Broken’ auditions open

Youngstown Playhouse will have auditions for the play “The Shark Is Broken” in April. ‘Kill Tony’ comedy tour set for Powers Auditorium

The “Killers of Kill Tony” tour is coming to the hometown of the podcast’s host. The comedy tour features regulars and favorites from the “Kill Tony” podcast, hosted by Youngstown native Tony Hinchcliffe, who performed at Powers Auditorium in 2023. “Kill Tony” has 2.6 million subscribers on YouTube. Its events have sold out arenas and been turned into Netflix specials. TNT finds laughter in ‘Storm’-y play

NILES — March traditionally comes in like a lion. At Trumbull New Theatre, it comes in with a “Storm.” Norm Foster’s “Storm Warning” opened Friday at TNT, and the script is more dramatic than other scripts written by the Canadian playwright that have been staged locally in the past decade. The Eli Young Band coming to the Robins Theatre
