Community bands play music education fundraiser

A couple of local community bands will be part of a fundraiser for the Ohio Foundation of Music Education on Sunday at the Winery at Wolf Creek, 2637 S. Cleveland Massillon Road, Norton. The Youngstown Area Community Concert Band will open Summer Winds at the Winery, now in its third year, at 11:30 a.m., and the Canfield Community Concert Band will perform at 1:50 p.m. Other acts include Canal Fulton Community Band at 12:40 p.m., Brass Band of the Western Reserve at 3 p.m., Blue Tip Jazz at 4:10 p.m. Western Reserve Community Band at 5:20 p.m., Wadsworth Community Band at 6:30 p.m. ...

ACTS announces 2026-27 season

A holiday classic and an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical slated for a Broadway revival will be part of ACTS Performing Arts Center’s 2026-27 season. The season opens Sept. 25 with the cabaret show “ACTS Sings! Duos and Duets” in its 40 Below performance space for a one weekend run.
