Packard hosts ‘Dirty Dancing: In Concert’
“Dirty Dancing: In Concert” comes to Packard Music Hall on Jan. 21.
The evening melds the 1987 hit movie, which won an Academy Award for best original song, with a live performance.
The full movie will be shown on a screen on stage with a live band and vocalists performing its musical numbers in sync with the film. The movie includes songs written specifically for the film, such as “The Time of My Life” and “Hungry Eyes,” as well as oldies, such as “Be My Baby,” “Do You Love Me?” and “Stay.”
Following the movie will be an “after-party” where the audience is encouraged to sing and dance along to their favorites from “Dirty Dancing.”
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster. An online-only presale runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday with the password: PACKARD.
