Brian Matthew Jordan will speak at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor, 151 W. Wood St., Youngstown, as part of the Robert W. Reeder Distinguished Lecture in Nineteenth-Century History series.

Jordan, associate professor of U.S. Civil War history at Sam Houston State University, will give a lecture on “Enduring Civil War: Life Death and Survival in America’s Defining Conflict.”

The program starts at 6 p.m. April 18. Admission is free.
