Robins gets Nitty Gritty, bluesy with new shows

WARREN — Two shows coming to the Robins Theatre go on sale Friday.

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will bring what is being billed as its farewell tour to Warren at 7:30 p.m. May 14. It’s best known for the hit “Mr. Bojangles” and its 1972 “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” album. The current lineup features original members Jeff Hanna and Jimmie Fadden. Tickets range from $40 to $75.

Coming Aug. 4 will be blues guitarist Tab Benoit and singer-songwriter Anders Osborne performing together with the Mike Zito Band opening. This will be Benoit’s third appearance at the Robins. Tickets for the 7 p.m. show range from $30 to $50.
