Packard books Blue October for September

It will be a Blue October in September at Packard Music Hall.

The Texas rock band will play the Warren venue on Sept. 17. Blue October is touring in support of its 2022 / 2023 release “Spinning the Truth Around: Part I & II.”

According to lead singer Justin Furstenfeld, “We feel like we’re at the height of our craft …The lyrics are universal and poignant, but we’re showing the songs can stand alone instrumentally. We know the sound we want.”

The band has been touring since 1998 and is best known for its 2006 album “Foiled,” which sold more than a million copies and included the hits “Hate Me” an “Into the Ocean.” The band had six consecutive albums debut in the top 30 on Billboard’s top albums chart.

Furstenfeld also will make his acting debut in September, appearing in the action film “Section 8” alongside Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Dermot Mulroney and Ryan Kwanten.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. show will go on sale at 10 a.m. May 23 at the Packard box office and through Ticketmaster. An online-only presale runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday with the password: PACKARD.
