YOUNGSTOWN — The police department is investigating the city’s seventh homicide of 2024 after a man was found with multiple stab wounds on the East Side early Saturday.

Police were called to the 1500 block of Hickory Court around 1:15 a.m. and found the male victim with multiple stab wounds lying in a yard, according to a press release from the Youngstown Police Department.

Officers performed life-saving measures until an ambulance arrived.

He was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, where he later died.

No further information, including the victim’s name, has been released as of Sunday evening.

No arrests had been made.

The homicide is being investigated by the police department’s detective bureau and the Mahoning County Coroner’s

Office.
