Brier Hill Italian Fest opens today

The 34th Brier Hill Italian Fest runs this weekend on Calvin and Victoria streets in Youngstown. While the festival starts at 4 p.m. today, the official opening ceremony is scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday. Other special events include morra at 7:30 p.m. Friday, a hot peppers contest at 6 p.m. Saturday and a wine tasting contest at 4 p.m. Sunday.
