¯ HEARTLAND CHRISTIAN 82, UNITED 56: COLUMBIANA — Joey Donofrio had a game-high 16 points as the Lions had a barrage of 14 3-pointers against the visiting Golden Eagles.

Stephen Barnes had four of those long-range shots, accounting for all of his 12 points.

Nate Garzanich, who had 14 points, added three 3-pointers. Jonathan Bertovich scored 14 points and contributed two 3-pointers for Heartland Christian (1-1).

Keaton Baker paced United (0-2) with 14 points, while Nate Miller had 13 and Ward Kiko put in 11.

¯ SALEM 56, MINERVA 40: SALEM — Jon Null and Drew Weir combined for 29 points as the Quakers distanced themselves from the visiting Lions.

Weir had all of his game-high 15 points in the first three quarters, while Weir had 10 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter for Salem (2-1, 1-0 Eastern Buckeye Conference).

Brayden Costea paced Minerva (1-1, 0-1 EBC) with 12 points, while Kole Mayle added 10.

¯ CRESTVIEW 56, WELLSVILLE 52: COLUMBIANA — The Rebels outscored the Tigers 20-5 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the victory in the first game for both teams.

Tony Perorazio had nine of his 11 points in the fourth quarter for Crestview (1-0).

Drake Golden paced the Rebels with 20 points, while Kirkland Miller had 10 points and 10 rebouns.

J. Brewer paced Wellsville with 15 points, while L. Green had 14 and I. Greathouse added 12.

¯ ALLIANCE 45, WEST BRANCH 41: ALLIANCE — The Aviators rallied from a one-point deficit at halftime and outscored the Warriors 29-24 in the second half to win this Eastern Buckeye Conference contest.

Jaxon Hendershott led West Branch (2-0, 0-1) with 11 points.
