A visit to WhiteHouse.gov now directs one to what can best be described as a campaign ad. There is no modern-day way to contact the President except by USPS, if one can decipher the exceedingly small font. I thought felons were still allowed to have an email address. DEAR EDITOR: Hubbard trustees “inundated” by records requests. Here, in my opinion, is a solution for all government agencies who feel the public’s right to know is a time-consuming nuisance. Why not start putting all public records online so the TAXPAYERS who pay for this information can search for the information for themselves instead of the government officials acting as gatekeepers to decide if and when the PUBLIC can see this public information. DEAR EDITOR: The Youngstown city administration’s unwavering desire to build the new police and fire complex on the North Side only makes sense from a financial standpoint because the city already owns the former Wick Six property. The site of the old GE plant at the top of the Market Street bridge is the most logical choice, with immediate access to I-680 and every major artery into the downtown area. DEAR EDITOR: Nary a week goes by without a few letters stating Trump is the devil and an existential threat to our republic. That’s OK; this a country where speech is protected. What I fail to understand is why these same individuals never complain of being lied to since 2020. The national media, including the White House press corps, never once reported on the mental decline of Joe Biden.
