LuAnn Markovich 1953-2025

POLAND — LuAnn Markovich, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the age of 72.

Born March 26, 1953, in Salem, LuAnn lived a life characterized by kindness, a friendly demeanor and a heart full of love for her family, friends and community.

LuAnn graduated from Salem High School in the class of 1971, where she formed lifelong friendships and laid the foundation for her future. She dedicated her life to caring for others as a compassionate Home Health Aide, a vocation that allowed her to touch the lives of many with her warmth and generosity.

A devout Christian, LuAnn lived her faith every day, spreading joy and love to all she encountered. Her belief was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and providing comfort and strength to those around her.

LuAnn’s interests were a reflection of her creative spirit. She found joy in coloring pictures and doing crafts, activities that not only brought her peace but also allowed her to share her artistic talents with her loved ones. Her home was a testament to her creativity, filled with colorful displays and handmade treasures.

Family was the center of LuAnn’s world. She was a loving sister to Carrie Menough, Wendy Stiffler (John), Kevin Willard (Stacey), Hank Willard Jr. and Heather Leiva. As a mother to Eric (Crystal) and Kyle Markovich (Sarah Lyn), she nurtured them with unconditional love and support. LuAnn’s role as a grandmother to Madison, Preston and Nevaeha Markovich was one of her greatest joys.

Described by those who knew her as loving, faith-filled and friendly, LuAnn’s legacy is one of enduring love and kindness. Her radiant smile and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As we say goodbye to LuAnn Markovich, we hold tight to the beautiful moments she bestowed upon us, the lessons she taught through her example and the unwavering love she gave. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and her memory will forever be a blessing to those who loved her.
