Nancy I. Kirkland 1941-2025

CANFIELD — Nancy I. Kirkland received her heavenly wings early Sunday morning, June 8, 2025, with her loving daughters by her side, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Carrollton, Nancy moved to this area as a teenager and graduated from Western Reserve High School in 1959.

Nancy was widely cherished for her heartwarming holiday cookies — especially her legendary chocolate chips. Each year, she gathered with her daughters for a special weekend of baking, filling the home with laughter, love and sweet aromas. This beloved tradition will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

A former member of Ellsworth Community Church, Nancy also enjoyed playing cards with her friends and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Her faithful canine companion, Koal, was always by her side, offering comfort and companionship.

She is survived by her four devoted daughters, Linda, Robin (Jay), Gerri and Judy (Chris); her beloved grandchildren, Clint, Haley (Daniel), Brooke (Tyler) and Derek; and her brother, Martin.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald W. Kirkland; and her granddaughter, Angel.

Nancy’s warmth, generosity and gentle spirit touched all who knew her and her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of her family.

Private services have been held for the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Harmony Hospice, 7010 South Ave., Suite 4, Boardman, OH 44512.
