Raymond E. Bresnahan 1951-2024
YOUNGSTOWN — Raymond Earl Bresnahan, 73, passed away peacefully at his home, Monday, June 17, 2024.
Ray was born May 5, 1951, in Youngstown, to John R. Bresnahan and Ruth M. Connor. Ray was a graduate of Mooney High School and a member of The Eagle Lodge. He spent 34 years in Chicago before moving back to Youngstown in 2021.
Ray held many jobs throughout his life, but the one he treasured most was being everyone’s go-to guy. If he did not have an answer, he would find it.
Ray will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years, Jo Ann Bresnahan; children, Kelli Altic, Raymond Earl Bresnahan Jr., Andrew Bresnahan, Danielle Szczerba and Michelle Mirich; 11 grandchildren; and siblings, Donald Bresnahan, John Bresnahan, Theresa Carney, Vincent Carney, Rosemarie Carney and Raymond Carney.
Besides his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his stepmother, Rose M. Carney; his beloved aunt, Kay (Katherine J. Krall); and his brother, Robert Bresnahan.
Per the family’s request, there will be no visitation or calling hours at this time. A private memorial and celebration of life will be held at a future date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
