Keith E. Nelsen 1944-2024
YOUNGSTOWN — Keith E. Nelsen, 80, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at home, with his wife by his side.
He was born in Freemont, Michigan, on Feb. 15, 1944, son of the late James and Doris Jackson Nelsen.
Keith retired from General Motors supervision after more than 40 years of service. He relocated from the Flint, Michigan plant to the Lordstown plant when it opened in 1966.
Keith was a 40-year member of the Niles-McKinley Lodge #794 and was a leading car enthusiast in the area.
Surviving Keith are his wife, the former Carole Bacon, whom he married July 31, 1976; brothers, Gary (Shirley) and Chris (Shelly); son and daughter, James Nelsen and Angie Perkins; stepdaughter, Bonnie Vaughan; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two stepsons, Ben and Scott Vaughan.
Keith will be missed by his family and many loving friends.
The family will receive friends 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A private burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery.
