Norma A. Friedrich 1931-2024

Norma was born Dec. 26, 1931, in North Jackson, a daughter of the late James and Marian Akins Jones.

Norma married her husband, Donald Friedrich, on April 10, 1954. Together, they shared 61 years of marriage until his death, April 15, 2015.

Upon graduating from Jackson Milton High School, she was employed as a secretary at Home Savings and Loan. After raising her children, she became a realtor and was associated with Century 21 Real Estate. She was a member of the Youngstown-Columbiana Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

Norma was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and deacon, and was a member of the women’s association.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, Don (Amy) Friedrich and Bruce (Sue) Friedrich; her sister, Dorothy Hively Henry; five grandchildren, Holly (Mike) Milkovich, Bruce (Leann) Friedrich, Emily (John) Sagle, Amanda (Mike) Kelley and Tim (Allison) Friedrich; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Cook.

A private graveside service was held for the family at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Aventura at Assumption Village for the compassionate care provided to Norma.
