Lillian F. Hall Amrich 1930-2024

YOUNGSTOWN — Lillian F. Hall Amrich, 93, of the city’s west side, passed away Monday morning, Feb. 19, 2024, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Lillian was born May 4, 1930, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Lavern and Della Mae Uber McFall, and was a lifelong Mahoning Valley resident.

Lillian graduated from North High School in 1948 and dedicated herself to nurturing and caring for her family. While she worked briefly at the former S & H Green Stamps in her younger days, her true passion lay in creating a warm and loving home for her loved ones.

In her leisure time, Lillian found joy in simple pleasures. She delighted in playing cards, solving jigsaw puzzles, organizing picnics, and most of all, spending precious moments with her family.

Lillian leaves to forever cherish her memory, her son, Gary L. (Mary Ann) Hall of Liberty Township; her two daughters, Linda Hall of Vienna and Lorraine Grove of Girard; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; her two brothers, Clark (Sharon) McFall of Mineral Ridge and Merle (Patty) McFall of Youngstown; and many extended family members.

Lillian will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and unwavering love for her family.

Her first husband, Richard R. Hall, whom she married in 1949, died in 1968. Her second husband, James W. Amrich, whom she married Nov. 20, 1970, died Oct. 1, 1998. A son, Rick Hall; four brothers, Benny, Charles, Ernest and Robert McFall; and a sister, Violet Smith, also preceded Lillian in death.

Family and friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow in Jackson Cemetery in Coitsville Township.
