Michael ‘Mick’ F. D’Amico 1934-2023
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Michael “Mick” Francis D’Amico, 88, passed away peacefully, Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, in Fort Collins, Colo., surrounded by loved ones.
Mick was born Dec. 5, 1934, in Youngstown, to Peter and Josephine D’Amico.
From 1961 to 1980, he was an officer of the Washington, D.C., firefighting division. After retiring, he relocated with his family to Fort Collins, Colo.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William D’Amico and his wife, Helen; and his brother, Fred and his wife, Geraldine.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia; their seven children, Teresa (Daniel), Carolyn, Michael (Emily), Regina, Lori, Lisa and Marcia (Jorge); his twin, Robert (Helen); his brothers, Peter (Millie) and Thomas (Peggy d. 2020); 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and in-laws.
A graveside service with full military honors was held Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023, at Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins.
