Joseph Williams Jr. 1952-2022
COLUMBUS — Mr. Joseph “Butch” Williams Jr., 70, departed this life after a courageous battle with cancer, Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at Franklin Medical Center in Columbus.
Joseph was born March 30, 1952, in East Gadsden, Ala., a son of the late Joseph Williams Sr. and Alfreda Hatcher Williams.
Joseph attended North High School in Youngstown. Over the years, he worked various jobs in the Youngstown and Columbus areas.
Joseph leaves to cherish his passing, son, Joseph Sanders; two sisters, Freda Jo Williams and Sheila J. Williams; a special niece, Kelly J. Williams; special great-nephew, Kamari Williams; three special lifelong friends, Anthony Haynes, George Kennedy and Sherwood Jacskon; as well as a host of family and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brothers, Frank “Rick” Williams and Vid Nathaniel Hardy Jr.; sister, Monica M. Hardy Allen; and a special niece, Alisha Denise Williams.
A celebration of life is forthcoming.
