Frederick J. Fabry 1945-2022

He was born June 15, 1945, in Youngstown, to parents Frank and Mary Catherine Hripko Fabry.

A football player and graduate of The Rayen School in Youngstown, Fred worked for Kent State University and followed in the footsteps of his father, Frank the barber, by also becoming a barber himself.

Fred is survived by his children, Christine Fabry, Brent (Jesssica) Fabry and Paul (Candice) Fabry; and his grandchildren, Jesse Fabry, Cameron Fabry, Brandon Craig, Berkley Fabry and Chelsea Fabry; as well as his sister, Francey Tkach of Youngstown.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Heather Speck Fabry; and his sisters, Mary Ann Lessick and Rita Iacobucci.

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna.

A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
