Donella Jackson 1950-2021

YOUNGSTOWN — Mrs. Donella Jackson, 71, departed this life Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Donella, affectionately known as “Dail,” was born May 13, 1950, in Hope, Ark., a daughter of the late Frank Sr. and Thirty B. Johnson Price. She attended East High School and graduated in 1969.

She was formerly employed at Twentieth Century Restaurant, and housekeeping at Holiday Inn. She enjoyed shopping, going to concerts, dancing, bingo, listening to music, doing puzzles and watching all kinds of movies, especially Westerns. Donella was also known for her delicious banana pudding.

Donella touched many lives with her warm heart and big beautiful smile. She will be truly missed by many and never forgotten.

She leaves to cherish her memories, five brothers, Ronnie L. Jones, Steven K. (Gail) Price of Youngstown, Mederick Price of Ashtabula, Frank (Evelyn) Price of Dallas, Ga. and Minister Carl A. (Kimberly) Price of Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Juanita (Councilman Jimmy F.) Hughes and Peggy A. Agee of Youngstown; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Jackson; her twin brother, Donald Sr.; and brother, Frederick Price.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, at L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow immediately at 11 a.m. Guests are required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
