Paul D. Matasic 1955-2021

He was born Nov. 15, 1955, in Youngstown, to Phyllis Charles Matasic and Paul F. Matasic.

Paul met Margaret Bushling Matasic in 1970. They were married June 5, 1976, in Youngstown. Together they raised two sons, Michael (Beth) Matasic and Steven (Katherina) Matasic.

Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and football. Paul deeply loved his family and spending time with his two sons and four grandsons.

Paul is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sons; four grandsons, Braeden, Jacob, Benjamin and Jasper; sister, Joyce (Don) Becker; sister-in-law, Wendy (Robert) St. Clair; and brother-in-law, John T. (Diane) Bushling.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in law, John D. Bushling; mother-in-law, Winnie Bushling-Hill; and brother-in-law, Dean A. Bushling.

The family has entrusted Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home with the final arrangements. There will be a memorial service for immediate family only, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in memory of Paul Matasic, to Hospice of the Valley, 5000 E. Market St., Unit 19, Warren, OH 44484.
