Deric J. Assid 1966-2021
POLAND — Deric J. Assid, 54, passed away the afternoon of May 14, 2021, at his parent’s residence in New Castle, surrounded by his family.
Born in New Castle on Oct. 28, 1966, Deric was the son of John W. and Lilliann LuAnn Romeo Assid.
Deric was a member of Holy Spirit Church, St. Mary’s site.
Deric was the owner and operator of the Boardman Framehouse Gallery in Boardman. Deric was a thrill seeker, loved music and was known as an art enthusiast. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with them, especially his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Deric is survived by his brothers, Dean Assid, Chad Assid and his wife Tawna, both of New Castle; his sisters, Taunya Poupore and her husband Chris of Grand Blanc, Mich., and Kristine Suber and her husband Marc of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday morning, May 19, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. for Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary’s Site, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Sciarappa at 10 a.m.
Burial will take place in Castleview Memorial Garden.
