Richard Boyce 1947-2021

Richard was born on Dec. 1, 1947, in Youngstown, the son of the late Edwin and Arlene Reed Boyce.

He was a 1966 graduate of Hubbard High School. Mr. Boyce retired in 2014 after 40 years of employment as a truck driver for Lyden Hauling.

Richard was a member of Covenant Life Fellowship Church in Hubbard. His true passions in life were drag racing and family. These two loves went hand in hand. His family will always have fond memories of time spent at the racetrack together. While at home relaxing, you could always find Richard watching reruns of the Family Feud television show.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hook Boyce, whom he married Nov. 25, 1966; three children, Michele (Jeffrey) Sharpe of Niles, Eric (Brynn) Boyce of Masury and Karen (Marcus) Merrell of Hubbard; two brothers, William (Patricia) Boyce of Hubbard and Mark Boyce of Haines City, Fla.; and eight grandchildren, Aliesha, Corrine, Alexis, Carsen, Elaina, Brooklyn, Agnes and Maddie.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Jaxon.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Wm. Nicholas Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021, with the Rev. Eric Diehl.
