Alexander Douglas 1972-2020

Alexander was born Oct. 29, 1972, in Washington, D.C. His father, Alex Douglas Jr., survives. His mother, Diana Brown-Gaither, preceded him in death.

He was married to the former Shaclecha Stoddard.

Alexander worked as a laborer in the entertainment industry.

He enjoyed wrestling and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. A loving husband, father and grandfather, his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.

Alexander is survived by his children, Alexander Nelson-Douglas, Michael Hamilton (Ashley), Devonte Douglas, Alaze’ Douglas, Dominic Douglas, Haley Simmers, Dae’ Shawn Douglas, Kamara Douglas, Daunte’ Douglas, Xander Long, Zoie Douglas, Rome Douglas, Karmalita Douglas, Alayia Douglas, Brennon Douglas and Demetrius Douglas; several brothers and sisters; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. Visitors are required to ware face masks and practice social distancing. A service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard Nero will officiate.
