Katherine M. Nanosky Moore, 1945-2019

CENTRAL CITY, Colo. — Katherine “Kit” M. Nanosky Moore, 74, formerly of Tucson, Ariz., died peacefully with family by her bedside, Oct. 25, 2019, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Colorado.

Kit was born Sept. 23, 1945, in Boston, the daughter of the late Robert and Grace Stambaugh Keagy.

Kit was adventurous, traveling the world with her family, while her family served in the military. She enjoyed the cultures of Japan, Germany and Havana, Cuba. She was born with a beautiful singing voice which led her to travel with the USO to sing for the troops.

Kit loved to host parties at Christmas and New Year’s and extended into other celebrations such as Super Bowl parties and many other holidays. Her passion to sing was picked back up in later years and she enjoyed singing karaoke every Friday night.

Kit is survived by her husband, Thomas Moore; family members Michael Keagy, Elizbeth Kowalke, Claudia Brewington, David Keagy, Albert Lambing, Carla Ferree, David Lambing and John Nanosky; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren, with one on the way.

A memorial Mass will be held noon Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, at St. Joseph Church, Austintown, Ohio.

The family will receive relatives and friends 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church.

The family wishes to thank all that cared for her during her last days, especially the nursing staff Jack, Alyse, Jen and Katie.
