WARREN — Ashaud Johnson, 19, will learn his sentence at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court in the Feb. 11 shooting death of Da’Mar McKinney, 17, of Youngstown, outside of Johnson’s apartment on Mahoning Avenue.
A jury found Johnson guilty Thursday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court of aggravated murder and two gun specifications, as well as two counts of tampering with evidence and one count of receiving stolen property.
Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor Chris Becker said Johnson’s minimum sentence will be 26 years to life in prison, but he could get life in prison without parole.
