ODOT announces new adjustments for road work

The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced the following new road adjustments for Mahoning and Trumbull counties:

MAHONING COUNTY

•Starting Monday, the ramp from state Route 46 to Interstate 80 westbound will be closed through early August for pavement repairs. The detour will be I-80 eastbound to Salt Springs Road to I-80 westbound.

•Also starting Monday, I-80 east and west will be reduced to two lanes between the Meander Reservoir and Route 46 with traffic shifted to the outside shoulder and right lane.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

•U.S. Route 62 from just south of Interstate 80 to the Pennsylvania State line in Brookfield and Hubbard townships has various lane restrictions for pavement repairs.

•Starting Monday, state Route 7 southbound at Route 62 will be closed through early July for road improvements. The detour will be Chestnut Ridge Road to Route 62. The estimated completion is October.

•Starting June 8, state Route 5 just east of Windham Road in Newton Township will be closed through June 12 for a culvert replacement. The eastbound detour will be state Route 225 to Interstate 76 to state Route 534. The westbound detour will be Route 534 to state Route 303 to state Route 88.
