YOUNGSTOWN — A fetus was found at the Youngstown Wastewater Treatment plant on Wilson Avenue Tuesday night, but Youngstown police say they believe it was the result of a miscarriage.

Detectives have contacted local medical providers to ask if they know of any miscarriages in recent days, a police spokesman confirmed.

The fetus was found in a piece of equipment at the plant by a worker who reported it to police.
