The Mahoning County OVI Task Force will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday through Sunday. Details will be released later this week.

There also will be local saturation patrols throughout the county this week and the weekend, according to a news release from the task force.

The primary goal of the task force continues to be making the roads safer in Mahoning County, the release states.

Law enforcement will be enforcing the drinking and driving laws throughout the county, though the task force hopes that motorists “make good decisions and choose not to drink and drive,” the release states.
