Liberty resident reports $3,000 in stolen goods
LIBERTY — Township police were busy earlier in the week, as goods were reported missing from a Ravine Drive resident’s vehicle.
An officer responded to a call referring to a theft from a vehicle report Monday afternoon. The officer met with the victim, a man, who said several tools were stolen from his truck bed’s tool box.
According to a police report, the man told the officer he last saw the tools Saturday evening, and called 911 upon learning that the items were missing. He added that he believed he locked the toolbox, but no damage was observed on the lock, the report states.
However, the officer noted the box appeared to be tampered with.
The report states the man listed seven to eight tools in the box, including a Milwaukee impact drill and M12 hacksaw, 7-8 power supply batteries and several other items, estimating the value of the stolen goods to be approximately $3,000.
The report states the man had functioning security cameras, but he added that the incident was not captured on them.
