Humor columnist Burton Cole, who writes the Burt’s Eye View column for the weekend edition of The Vindicator and Tribune Chronicle, won an honorable mention in the National Society of Newspaper Columnists annual competition.

Cole won in the Lifestyle category for several columns he wrote after the sudden death of his wife, Terry, on Father’s Day in 2023. He won first place in the NSNC humor column category in 2023 for a series of columns written for The Vindicator and Tribune Chronicle in 2022.

Cole is the former Features Editor of the newspapers and is now the editor of the Falmouth Outlook weekly newspaper in Falmouth, Kentucky.
