WHAT: Village council meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Sean Schmidt, Kyle Joynes, Kerry Reckard, John Metzinger, Don Smith and Mayor Ray Lewis

ABSENT: Chad Jones

Council:

• Approved Doug Pesa as a full-time police officer.

• Gave a second reading to legislation that adds Christmas Eve and Columbus Day as holidays for full-time employees.

• Gave a second reading to legislation about vacation adjustment, with employees receiving three weeks vacation after five years of employment, four weeks after 12 years and five weeks after 15 years.

• Announced an informational meeting will be 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. May 13 at the community room regarding electric rates. Tony Ramos of Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council is scheduled to speak.
