2 agencies get teen driving grants
Two Mahoning Valley agencies — the Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio and the Boardman Police Department — received funding from the state to expand access to teen driver training for low-income families.
The funding is through the state’s Drive to Succeed Program. Money is used to provide driver training scholarships to eligible teen drivers in the state.
The Educational Service Center — which includes school districts in Mahoning and Columbiana counties — received $227,200 while Boardman police received $147,885.
