Mahoning Dems to induct 7 into its hall of fame
YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County Democratic Party will induct seven people into its hall of fame at an April 19 event.
“They represent a broad swath of the Democratic coalition from law enforcement to labor leaders to central committee members,” party Chairman Chris Anderson said. “These are people who help elect Democrats and better our community.”
Anderson added: “I’m so proud of the work they’ve done and will continue to do. As a party, it’s so important to honor their decades of service and hold them up as examples to the generations of activists coming up behind them.”
The event will be held at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Social Hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel Ave. in Youngstown.
Tickets are $100 each or $700 for a table of eight. Tickets can be purchased online at the party’s website, mahoningcountydemocraticparty.com or by calling party headquarters at 330-259-9589.
